School Uniforms.... do you want to wear them everyday? Even though it's obvious that most people would say no to such a question, there are some good reasons why school uniforms would benefit our school. Take responsibility for instance, some say that a child in a school uniform is more likely to take school seriously. Putting on the school uniforms makes the school students feel like it's more like a job, just like how their parents dress up for work. Because of this they would take school more serious. It would also help time too, instead of having to waste thirty minutes of you morning to find something to wear to school, you can just put on your school uniform and your set to go. Also since everyone is wearing the same thing, this could prevent bullying. Some students are bullied because there clothes are poorer than others. It also prevent gangs. Gangs always have a color of clothing that symbolizes them, with them wearing school uniforms, they wouldn't be able to wear anything unacceptable. I'm not saying that this will be a hundred percent way to get rid of violence but it could be the right step.
Even though those are some good reasons why school uniforms are good, I personally would not want to wear school uniforms everyday. School uniforms would cost some what a good amount of cash and not all families out there are fortunate to have the money. Even though there would possible be a discount for them, they still have to buy clothes for times outside of school. School uniforms would affect a student's individuality.
Young people often express their feelings through the clothing that they wear. Uniforms will take away this form of expression. Why should school districts try to make everyone look the same?
So what do you have to say after reading this, would you like to wear school uniforms to school everyday?

The Nightmares
“Good morning grandpa”, I said. “Morning darling,” replied grandpa. Hi, my name is Lena Lemski, I'm a fifteen year old girl living with my grandpa right now. Both of my parents died when I was only a month old. My parents died in a car accident one rainy night, driving home to pick me up from my grandparents, at least that's what they said then. They never told me much about my own parents. I only knew what they looked like from a picture. In the picture we are together in front of a bright red barn, my mom had me cradled in her arms, with my dad's arm around my mother's shoulder. I keep the picture with me everywhere I go.
be getting thinner, and he looks ill. I feel as if he will pass on anytime now, it's a scary feeling. He's getting really pale, white as the clouds in the sky, and he
looks barely alive, he looks dead all the time.
Only two years ago my grandma died from cancer. She was like a mother to me. But even more important, she was my best friend. When I was down she would always bring me up. We would sing together as we worked out on the farm and all around the house. I cried for nights not knowing when I could ever pulll myself together, but my grandpa took it the worst. He wouldn't get out of bed for weeks, leaving me to work around the farm and house and feed us. I could hear him crying every night, I don't know how much in love they were, but from the looks of this, it looks like they were madly in love. I get weaker and weaker as each day goes by, unable to sleep knowing my grandpa is in pain and having to provide for him. But I am there for him everyday.
It's been about a year since my grandma's death, things are getting better. Grandpa is able to do some work on the farm now. He's been talking more everyday, a little more each day, I'm satisfied with the progress he has made. We've also been receiving a little help from people around town. They would bring us some vegetables and meat every once in awhile.
It's been about a year and a half now, it seems that grandpa is getting worse now. He seems tobe getting thinner, and he looks ill. I feel as if he will pass on anytime now, it's a scary feeling. He's getting really pale, white as the clouds in the sky, and he
looks barely alive, he looks dead all the time.
But dreadful things have been happening to me lately. Every night it gets extremely hard to breathe, as if something is pushing against my chest, preventing my from taking a breath. I get hot and agitated every night now. I've been getting horrible nightmares , nightmares of me alone in a dark gothic house. Every one special to me is dead. Laying on the floor right in front of my face, then I hear a loud creepy laugh every five minutes or so. It terrifies me to see and hear this, I wake up panting heavily, wondering if I should I tell grandpa or keep it to myself. He's already going through a lot of pain, why should I put more pressure on him by telling him I'm having trouble sleeping. It's not the same nightmare though, every night there's something else more terrifying.
It's been a month since the first nightmare of my dead family , lying in front of my eyes.
It's much worse now, more intense, more dreadful, and I can't bare it any longer. Last night I had a dream of my grandma coming up from the ground and chasing me with grandpa's favorite pocket knife. She sliced through grandpa's throat in the kitchen and his blood gushed across my face. She caught me and I thought I was done for, but I was actually happy, it would end quickly. Instead she ties me down to her rocking chair that she use to sit on and relax every night, when she was alive. She tortured me to death, cutting my fingers off, then my hand, next my foot, and on and on, until I bled to death. Such agonizing pain I felt, when it was only a dream, I was screaming for mercy as she sliced away but she stabbed me in the throat, you would think I would be dead already but I was still alive. I woke up gasping for air, as if I were under water, chained to the bottom. I figured it was enough of this already, but there is nothing for me to do, I cannot tell anybody, I don't want anybody to think I'm going crazy, especially my grandpa, that would kill him in the heart that he's not taking care of me right. I decided to wait a week to see how it would go, then I would tell him. Halfway through the week I had another dream, this time it was about my parents. I was walking through the woods, I have no clue why because I hate the outdoors. Well I see a nice wooden house and what do you know my parents live there. They brought me in and we talked for hours as if it was my everyday life. I was exploring around the house and when I came down to the basement I saw a bunch of picture of random people. Then I saw a big metal door and of course I had to look inside. That’s when I woke up, I had no clue what that was all about.
I woke up and started cooking breakfast, pancakes and sausage today. I finished cooking and got my grandpa’s plate ready. “Grandpa, breakfast is done” … “GRANDPA”!!! I screamed. I bursted through his bedroom doors and saw him just laying there. I came up and tapped his shoulder, “grandpa, breakfast is done”, I whispered. He still didn’t move, that’s when I noticed that he was dead.

Compare/Contrast folklure
There are many stories/folklore in the world out there, they can be very similar or very different with each other. Stories from different countries with the same theme just told differently, or a completely different theme. So my three folklore stories are from three different country, but all have the same theme... kinda, all three stories theme are good.
My first story is from Mexico, called “The Girl in White”. In this folklore, it is about a man who is to go to this ball with his girlfriend, but she got sick. The man was not going to go but his good mate convinced him to go for fun at least. While he was there having fun, he saw a gorgeous girl in white and had to ask her to dance. Later he finds out that the girl he just danced with was a ghost! So the theme here is to be loyal to your girl.
This next story of mine is from Vietnam and it’s called “The Tiger”. This is a weird story to me personally even though it’s from my country, but it is about a woman’s son who is killed by a tiger. The woman griefs over this and as she was walking home from her son’s funeral she encounters the tiger. She screams at the tiger for what it has done and the tiger helps out the woman for what he has done. So everyday he brings in game for the woman, food and money.
I’m pretty positive that the theme her is to always be forgiving to anyone for what they did, everybody deserves a second chance.
Now for the grand finale, is a folklore from Germany called “one-eye, two-eye and three-eye”. There are three girls in this story and of course they are what the title says. One girl has one eye, the other has two and the third girl has three eye. The girl with two eyes is treated horrible because she is different from the other two girls, they are freak while she is normal. It is a very long story, but at the end a prince comes and takes away two-eye and the other girls are jealous, so she lives happily ever after. The theme here was that no matter how different anyone is with everybody they should always be treated the same.
So that was my three folklore from three different country from around the world. They all have the same kind of theme, to be nice, but they are all different with the characters.

thINK 1 second 9 week
How would you feel if all of your valuables were jacked. Burgulry is a terrible thing to do to other people because they worked hard to get those. You worked double shift everday at work for something you've been wanting since your friend kept showing it off to you, and someone steals it! I would be so mad and call the cops on there butt.
What if you were in the burgulry's position though what would you think of yourself. If you were going bankrupt and you had kids to feed..... robbing some people was your last resort. What do you think of people like them, are they doing the right thing or bad thing, "thINK" about it. Then again it sucks for whoever just got robbed. My dad, about a year ago was robbed too. He had a 9mm handgun and a GPS in his car and one morning they were both missing. Well of course it's kinda his fault because he didn't have his car door locked. Of course he said he did though, but you know how people can be. We called the cops and of course the found the amateur robber. I was really mad, because he was some desperet guy of course, he just some greedy guy out there that wants everything no matter what.
Now just plain out burgulars that just steal because they are greedy as ever. I personally think it's stupid and lazy of them because they can work just as hard as we did. But at some point everybody has something they want to have, have you not? I've had them time but I wasn't stupid enough to steal it, I just worked for money and go myself one. Why is there people like that out there, they say as long as there are good people out there, there are bad people out there. I don't know who they are.
So the point here... is not to steal because you will just be a jerk, unless you have to then it's all cool if it's not me.

Adrenaline Rush
I could smell the cool winter air flowing through my nose, also the fear in my opponent as I aim the barrel toward his face. I heard a loud thump from his leap toward the haybell for cover, while my gun was blasting balls at him. As the balls whip through the air, I hear a scream for mercy that had pity, fear, and panic, all mixed together into a scream. Now its silent, nothing but the fierce icy wind cutting through me. Then I saw a man pop out from the woods on my right side with his finger on the trigger. Everthing happened in a blink of an eye, my teammate dropped to the ground, screaming as he gripped onto his arm. He was a red mess, I knew he would not go on anymore, I could see that we were vulnerable and he could see that too. A huge grin appeared on his face and the next thing I know, I was staring at the snow, while gripping onto my thigh. The stinging pain from the impact on my thigh and icy cold snow on my face, my beating heart slowed and the rush was over, we were defeated.

Think 2 - Capital Punishment
Is capital punishment the right thing to do or the wrong thing to do? 13,000 and more has been legally exectued since colonial times. There are alot of good outcomes from this. Capital punishment is also known as "the death penalty". When someone convicts a crime of murdering a person, should he be executed? If he is then this will prevent other criminals from commiting any other homicide or murder cases. Studies shown that 1 execution deterrs 18 murders in the future. Also prisons in many countries are over-crowded and under-funded, and this problem is made worse with a life sentence. Why should any taxpayer bear the cost of supporting a murderer for an entire lifetime? Now here are the cons of capital punishment. Although capital punishment can cost more than a lifetime sentence. Most capital cases from arrest to execution, can cost between 1$ million to 2$ million... pennies. A case resulting in life imprisonment can cost around $500,000. It's best to avoid the death penalty because there has been incident where the criminal was innocent. About 23 innocent people were executed in the U.S.A in the 20th century. Defendants who are mentally incompentent will often answer "yes" to questions in the desire to please others. This can lead to false confessions. Over 30 mentally retarted people have been executed in the U.S.A since 1976. Are we suppose to show that killing is wrong if we are having them killed too? They say that every human being is entitled a second chance. I don't know who "they" are, but they said it!

Eclipse: Team Jacob or Edward?
So I just read the third book of the Twilight series, it got me to think about who Bella should've been with. If you haven't read the books yet, then let me break it down to you. Bella falls in love with a vampire(Edward), and during that time Edward left Bella because he did not think it was right for Bella to be with him. During the time that Edward was gone, Bella was crushed and depressed, so Jacob came in to make her content. That's a real quick summary of the series.
Edward left Bella because he didn't want to bring harm to her, and he could not live knowing that she had perished, he left to keep her safe, but he still loved her. Even though Edward left he still came back though to protect her from another vampire named Victoria. Victoria has been trying to kill Bella ever since the incident, I don't want to give away anything so you will have to just read it to see what happens. Bella goes back to loving Edward like how she always had before he even left and Edward felt very bad for what Bella went through.
During that time Edward was gone, Jacob was there to cheer up Bella. When Edward was gone, Bella would have nightmares in her sleep and scream in the middle of the night, waking up Charlie. This eventually became an every day thing that Charlie got use to. Bella was depressed everyday and didn't want anything to do with her friends at school. So Charlie decided it was best if Bella moved to her mothers place in Florida, she through a big fit about it. So Bella decided to go out a little for Charlie, there she decided to spend her time with Jacob to fix two bikes she wanted to be able to ride. During her time she was with Jacob, she became very content and loved every moment she had with him. Jacob even told Bella that he loved her, but Bella didn't want Jacob, she only wanted Edward who left her.
So you tell me, who should Bella be with, Edward or Jacob? If you haven't read the series yet, then I suggest you get started because it is a very good serie.

The poem " I Hear America Singing" by Walt Whitman, has the tones PRIDE and PROSPEROUS.
All the hard work that America has done, is something they are proud of. Everyone had a job that they were proud of working at, and having pride in there country. Prosperous shows the happiness all around America, from all of the success they have succeeded, by singing there tune while working.
