Education

I personally believe that standardized testing will benefit us if we take it seriously. Some students will just give up and will not even attempt to study, they've already given up and plan on dropping out before they graduate high school. Then there are the students that strives to succeed and study for these standardized tests. These test helps students study, which is something you will need in the future in college. Just face it, you are going to need to study in college even if you were one of those kids that never had to study in high school. So studying now will help you out in the future.  Also standardized testing benefits teacher to see how well your doing and what they need to do. Another reason is it lets the parents of the child, know how well they're doing. Most people probably wouldn't like that =) but it's beneficial for the parents. Of course there is a negative side to standardized testing but I won't get into that. So here's the link of the web page I used to help me write this and you should take a look yourself to see what side your on. http://www.brighthub.com/education/k-12/articles/16137.aspx

Wildlife Restoration

This wildlife ad here http://www.thankyouforhunting.com/
presents all three "ethos", "pathos", and "logos".

This paragraph here trys to influence the audience, which are hunters and people in North America, to protect and preserve the wildlife. Audience of families with the tradition to hunt during that time of year. Also to anybody that are just nature freaks or tree huggers.

Only I problem I see here is that they're having you pay an extra 10 percent tax money with every firearm adn ammunition you purchase. Which is quite alot of money if you think about it, ammunition isn't cheap and you're already having to pay for tax, but now add 10 percent more! But you shouldn't think of it as a receipt, instead think of it as a "contract to preserve your most cherished family tradition", they say.

An american sportsman living in America that has a passion for hunting and wildlife. He contributes over 4.7 million dollars a day to preserve the environment. A picture of him and his son shown on the article page shows how important it is to keep the tradition going, so you should protect the wildlife. If you're one of these so called "tree-huggers" it's common sense that you should throw in your money to protect the wildlife.

Look at the picture of this old man and his grandson,(I'm assuming so) does this not make you want to do good? In this article about wildlife restoration, the main purpose is to protect and perserve the wildlife and your family tradations. So get to it!

Keep a Design Notebook

There are plenty of merchandise that sells out there and they sell because they have a good design. It catches the eyes of the customer, so I basically have stuff I like. Finding these that had a bad design in my opinion was quite a task. It's important to have a good design because you take risk opening up a business and the better the design the less risk there is.
        The good designs:
Okay so for some reason my computer freezes up every time I try to upload a picture to this blog, so I'm going to put a link with a picture of the items.
  These are the good designs:
i
1) http://carriesreviews.blogetery.com/2011/03/22/mio-water-enhancer/
This is product has a nice egg like shaped bottle. Easy to squeeze into your water and small to carry around.

2) http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=277&Itemid=65&limit=1&limitstart=1
This laptop mouse is similar to mine. It's a wireless mouse and at the bottom of it, it has a usb port to plug into your laptop.

3) http://www.soccercleats101.com/2009/12/15/nike-mercurial-vapor-superfly-in-yellow/
This pair of cleats has an amazing design where your laces won't get in the way when you kick a soccer ball. very important because when you kick a ball in soccer, your laces tend to be in the way.

4) http://www.rap4.com/store/paintball/tippmann-98-custom-streamline-package   A tippman brand paintball gun isn't my favorite type of gun, but I do have to say that the design is amazing. They've designed it to where you can upgrade it, which is very unique.

5) http://www.laptopsarena.com/apple-laptop-computers/
An apple laptop, I love the design and would love to get my hands on one. They are very sleek and portable. Although very expensive.

Now here are some designs that I dislike.

 1)http://www.laptoppicker.com/archives/dell-latitude-xfr-d630-laptop.html
This laptop I just can't stand the design. Its big and bulky, although it's something a business person my find to their likings but surely I do not.

 2) http://www.ps3controller.org/
Some people might hate me for saying this, but I don't like the design of a ps3 controller. Mostly because of the analog sticks, the xbox 360 controller analog stick design is much better in my opinion.

3) http://www.buy.com/prod/xbox-360-wireless-headset-microsoft-xbox-360-wireless-earset-over-the/q/loc/108/204850706.html
The xbox 360 wireless mic has such a horrible design in my opinion. The mic is so short that when you speak, the transmitter can't pick up what's coming out of your mouth. So there's times you find yourself yelling through the mic so others can hear you.

 4) http://www.ubergizmo.com/2008/01/otterbox-gives-iphone-protection/
I personally can't stand the Iphone otterbox. It's so big and bulky and hard to slide in your pocket. Yes there is a positive side to having one, to protect but there's also a negative side too, it's ugly!

 5) http://www.yosax.com/2010-kia-soul
I don't know why anyone would want a car like this, It looks like a box!

The End of Times

The world will come to an end
Zombies will arrive from the dead
Running in a massive group
I will shoot off their head.

They come in the dead of night
Arriving from above
Taking everything from us
Only to retreat as silent as a dove.

You feel them before you see them
But then it's too late
They tear open the ground sucking everything in the deep abysis
A tragic everybody hates.

Character Analysis

Son of King Creon, Haemon. Being son of the king, best is expected from him. Therefore his father, Creon knows best for him and decides to choice Haemon's wife, Antigone. Although there's high expectation for Haemon, he doesn't seem to have what it takes.
This is where all the pronlems start. Antigone's brother, Polynices is consider a traitor. He is considered a traitor because him and his army attacked Thebes, there city. The city that Creon is king of. From those action by Polynices, Creon ordered that Polynices cannot be burried. Antigone i upset from this and decides that this is wrong and does what she thinks is right. What she considers the right thing to give Polynices a proper burial.
Creon gets pissed from Antigone's action and decides to punish her. Since Antigone is Haemon's wife, he asks Haemon who he stands by. Haemon for some odd reason decides to stand by his father, but then he aruges with Creon. l # 696-699 " I don't know how I could say you don't speak correctly, but sometimes another man's opinion is also right."  You see... it doesn't make since.. is he fighting for Antigone, or is he fighting with his father just to teach him that he could be wrong. He should stood by his wifes side! Doesn't seem that Haemon cares too much about his own wife at this point.
Later on in the story, Antigone is punished and sent to a cave where she is trapped. Antigone hangs herself and this upsets Haemon, causing him to kill himself(so cliche). l # 1181 " Haemon is lost. His blood was silled by a familiar hand." Haemon didn't seem to care much about Antigone then, but all of a sudden he kills himself.
This shows that Haemon doesn't seem to know what he's doing. I wouldn't expect much from him if I were the towns people living in that city. I can't explain his feelings to the full extent, but I'm sure we all know that at the end of the story, he loved Antigone.

thINK 3rd nine weeks 1 "The Giver"

In the book "The Giver" by Lois Lowery, there is a 12 year old boy named Jonas who leaves the a totalitarian community. A totalitarian community is where all your decisons are made for you. The community leaders gets to pick what you are to be when you grow to the right age. Although you can appeal to the job given to you but most are cafefully selective for you. Aslo you have to follow the community rules or you will get in trouble. Once you get in trouble two or three times you are to be released, to be released is to be killed. Now I'm not going to give you anyore information about the book, so you're going to have to read it. If I were to live my life like them in their situation, I would have no problem honestly. They don't know anything else about the outside world and their life is safe. Now if my life was free and independent, and my life suddenly change to a world like theirs I would be pretty upset. Although if I was born with my life like that, i'm sure i'll be use to get and enjoy life just like how I do now. How would you feel if your life was like Jonas?
